What is it?
Reading Rampage is aimed at boosting reading miles and encourage reading for pleasure with students in Year 7 and 8. Schools are provided with 5 sets of the 10 shortlisted books, promotional materials and the relevant training required to roll out the project.
When is it?
For 2023-2024 formal training with schools will take place in December 2023, and the projects runs in schools from January 2024 to the end of May 2024, with the online awards ceremony concluding the project in June 2024.
Who is it for?
The project is targeted at Year 7 and 8 students. Some Year 8’s may have been involved last year so will be aware of the project. Schools may wish for these Year 8’s to act as advocates of the scheme for younger pupils.
What are the costs to schools?
A contribution of £425 covers the cost for the books, resources and author visits.
